The subscription

A subscription lets one school use Schooldarshi on one school computer for one year. It is renewed each year. The price shown on our pricing page applies, and it includes updates and support during that year.

The free trial

A free trial gives you every feature for 15 days so you can decide. Records you enter during a trial stay on your computer, and you can keep using them if you subscribe.

Your records

The records you enter belong to your school. They are stored on your computer, and we do not have access to them. Your school is responsible for who can use the computer, for choosing a PIN, and for keeping backups in a safe place.

Licence checks, renewal and when a subscription ends

The software checks your subscription with our server about once a week. If the computer is offline it keeps working for 7 days after the last successful check.

After your end date you have 15 more days when everything keeps working. After that the software stops opening your school's data until you renew. You can always download a full backup of your records. We never delete them.

Moving to a new computer

You can move your licence to a different school computer. Moves are approved automatically up to twice a year. We may approve more on request.

Using the software properly

AI helpers

In the Offline + AI plan the software can use Google Gemini with an API key that your school creates and owns. Your school's use of that key is under Google's terms, and any charge from Google beyond its free tier is between your school and Google. AI suggestions can be wrong; a teacher must review every AI question and remark before it is saved, printed or shared. If Google changes or stops its service, the rest of the software keeps working.

Our responsibility

We work to keep the software correct and available, but it is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any problem is limited to the fees you paid in the previous 12 months. We are not responsible for lost records if no backup was kept.

Changes and law

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top. They are governed by the laws of India.
