Privacy

In short

We never receive your students', staff or fee records. They stay on your school's computer. The software tells our server only that your subscription exists and which version you run. This website sets no tracking cookies and uses no analytics.

This website

The pages load their fonts, images and scripts from this site only. We do not use advertising or tracking services.

If you fill in the trial form we store what you type: school name, your name, phone number, email (if you give one), city, the size of the school and your message. We also keep your internet address and browser details for a short time to stop abuse. We use these only to contact you about Schooldarshi, and to set up and manage a trial or subscription.

You can ask us to show, correct or delete what we hold about you at any time. Use the contact details at the bottom of the page.

The software and the licence check

About once a week the software contacts our server. It sends:

• your licence code,
• a coded identifier of the computer, made from hardware details so that one licence is not copied to many computers. It cannot be turned back into those details,
• the software version, and the time.

Our server answers with your subscription dates. We keep a record of these checks so that we can support you and spot a licence being misused.

Student, staff and fee records

We do not receive them, ever. They are stored on your school's computer. Your school decides who can use that computer and is responsible for keeping backups.

AI helpers (Offline + AI plan only)

If your school turns on the AI helpers, the software sends a request directly from your computer to Google, using an API key that your school creates with its own Google account. We never receive the key or the requests.

For exam questions it sends the class, subject, chapter, topic, question type, difficulty, marks and language. For report card remarks it sends the percentage, best and weakest subject, attendance percentage, tone and language. The student's name is added on your computer after Google replies. Names, admission or roll numbers, phone numbers, addresses, photos, fees and marks lists are never sent, and the software blocks any request that contains them.

Google's terms and privacy policy apply to what is sent with your key. On Google's free tier, Google may use it to improve its products. The AI helpers are off until your school turns them on and accepts this notice inside the software, and can be turned off at any time.
